In 2007, SAP Press contacted us after reviewing our website information on SAP Plant Maintenance. We set out to use this information, along with our professional experience, as the basis for a book to be shared with other organizations that are attempting to realize reliability improvement with the SAP PM tool.

This book aligns maintenance Best Practices and SAP Configuration concepts for those clients that are attempting to utilize SAP PM to mirror their specific maintenance business processes. For those organizations with existing configuration, this book offers insight to improvement. The book explains SAP PM from beginning to end in layman’s terms.

The target audience is the plant maintenance leadership whose primary concern is equipment reliability. By default, SAP PM consultants and implementation agents interested in the customer’s point of view will glean much value in tailoring the SAP PM configuration and application to the end users needs.

Because we are true believers in the value that SAP PM offers to the reliability effort, we wanted to bring a down to earth approach to using SAP PM.
