When I describe my background, I always say, that after the engineering degree, I became a shift electrician that humbled my degree!! After that I went back to project electrical engineering and management, where I thought engineering was the center of the universe. When I left to work in maintenance, I came to realize I was now in the real center of the universe. In the long run, I did not really get there until I worked on the production team that I realized what the main event was -manufacturing! When that 23 year run came to a close, I saw the opportunity that was there to take SAP PM and Microsoft Project and use those tools to help my fellow manufacturers use Best Practices to achieve manufacturing excellence. After achieving SAP PM Certification with SAP and a CMRP Designation to support the 23 years of manufacturing experiences, I decided that the best way to offer total value to our customers was to partner with Lorri, who brings the common sensibilities and the floor level wisdom that complements my abilities and provides a total package. My role in RSI is to lead the Best Practices Assessment for SAP PM, Maintenance and Manufacturing and development and support of Improvement Processes. My secondary role is to support Lorri in her development and delivery of quality education classes. John Hoke |
